This website is dedicated to providing accurate and quality historical and statistical information on Nigerian football. For years it had been difficult to obtain accurate data about Nigerian football. During that period there has been an increasing demand for such information as the Nigerian national teams improved their profile globally. In June 2001, the host of this site Dr. Chuka Onwumechili wrote a book titled The Making of Nigeria's Super Eagles (co-authored with Justin Eze) which sought to close this gap between demand and availability of information. The book remains a testimony to Nigeria's rich football history but it took three years of research to piece the data together. This website SuperEaglesNation  makes use of data, collected before, at that time, and thereafter. We implore you to join this effort by helping close the data gap.
